Architects Behind AEGON

AEGON brings together two of Estonia's most accomplished architectural practices — each contributing distinct expertise to create a building that serves both wellness and investment objectives.

Apex AB Team

Apex Arhitektuuribüroo

Lead Architect — Building Design & Concept

Founded in 2005, Apex AB is a Tallinn-based architecture practice with deep experience spanning heritage restoration to contemporary new developments. Their portfolio includes the award-winning Põhjala Brewery restoration and the Keila Pargikodud residential complex for Invego — a project within the same developer family as AEGON.

For AEGON, Apex designed the overall building concept — integrating the curved organic form, nature-facing orientation, and the multi-level wellness programme into a single coherent structure. Their approach prioritises biophilic design principles: maximising natural light, forest views, and seamless indoor-outdoor transitions.

For AEGON, Allianss brings this expertise to the two-level spa complex, thermal world, treatment rooms, and diagnostics facilities.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Architecture as a
Longevity Instrument

AEGON's architecture is not decorative — it is functional. Every design decision serves the building's core purpose: to support long-term human health and performance. The curved organic form follows the natural contours of the Glehni Park landscape, minimising environmental impact while maximising each loft's exposure to forest views and natural light.

The building integrates four distinct functional zones — residential lofts, wellness and spa, performance and diagnostics, and hospitality — into a single interconnected structure. This integration is deliberate: residents and members move between zones without leaving the building envelope, creating a seamless daily wellness routine.

Material choices reflect the same philosophy. Natural timber, stone, and full-height glazing connect interior spaces to the surrounding forest. Acoustic design ensures that the yoga studio, spa treatment rooms, and private lofts maintain distinct sound environments despite their proximity.
